What are some of the biggest marketing challenges for businesses we’re facing this year? You may think time is on your side, but actually it isn’t – lack of time is the biggest challenge for marketers!
Time is THE biggest challenge for most business marketing departments today, but why? Content creation is a huge segment of marketing today considering blogs, articles, social media posts, videos, etc. Not being organized, setting too many goals, and a lack of collaboration all lend to the feeling that you need 24 hours a day to get it all done when it comes to creative ideas and developing great content. Then there’s the distributing of that content, and well…you get it. Time seems to be the enemy!
Producing great content is another big challenge in 2018. We’ve all heard of “writer’s block,” and given the massive amount of content online it’s hard to come up with content that’s fresh, creative, engaging and that feels original and genuine. When it’s all been written about, what can you do? Put a fresh spin on it, tell a story. Make sure your content appeals to your target audience, that it’s clear and easy to understand, and that it engages. Do a little brain-storming within your marketing dept. to come up with original ideas. It’s tough sometimes to produce creative content, and it goes back to our first challenge – time.
So many marketing channels…From your website to your blog and social media platforms, there are so many content marketing channels it can be difficult to determine which direction to go in. Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, LinkedIn and of course YouTube and other video content. It’s vital to reach your audience and increase visibility and brand awareness, but deciding which direction(s) to go in with content distribution is a huge challenge for marketers, among many others.
