Highly recognized brands don’t have anything to prove; they’re already well known and trusted. Considering you’re not likely one of the “big players” – yet, anyway, you DO have something to prove. What elements can you use to prove to consumers your company is trustworthy?

  • Share interesting and compelling information about what your company does; make customers comfortable in the fact that you’ll be around after they purchase from your site.
  • Include customer testimonials that will be the most comforting to potential customers.
  • Include notable press. Has your company been featured in an industry publication? Mention it – this helps consumers know that you run a legitimate business.
  • Make sure your site offers a clean design and is up-to-date. First impressions are the only ones that count, and people DO judge a book by its cover. The design of your ecommerce site can make a great first impression, one that visitors instantly feel comfortable with.
