Be consistent. While this may seem to go against what we just said above, you DO need to post quality content to your blog consistently. For instance, you don’t want to post two articles per week for a month, then all of a sudden disappear for three months. Be as consistent as you can be while creating content your audience is hungry for.
Use forums and social media to find new content ideas, and build traffic to your blog. Relevant forums and social media platforms are great places to learn what questions people are asking, what they want answers to. This not only helps give you fresh content ideas, you can then engage with those on forums and social media and get involved in the discussion – linking back to your blog posts where relevant!
Build solid relationships with others in your industry. The fact is, most blogs aren’t strong enough on their own to just “attract” links like magic. If you want quality links to your blog, do your part and link out to other blogs you believe deserve to be linked to because of their great content. Blogging is a form of social marketing, so be social and build relationships.
